Lyrics

Is one of the hardest, dark (gothic) and deep lyrics of Soda Stereo. The lyrics tells of a winged man, who is alone with himself, flying at night between the buildings "falling as a bird of prey", connected to "the city of fury" and and is among many other winged men like him ("yo soy parte de todos" ("I am part of all")), they are susceptible, with their faces marked with a "destiny of fury".

The chorus refers to the arrival of day and the rest of the winged man, when "the city of fury" let him sleep between her legs (an image powerfully sensual) and hides in the fog.

Music

The style of music can be described as a gothic/alternative rock sound and shows the new sound that the band had adopted, changed from their previous albums. This song is a "harbinger" of sound that the band was about to adopt as its own, especially alternative rock, that this song is very strong.

The song starts with a riff, that Gustavo Cerati was created when he was 14 years old. When Cerati begins to sing, the guitar stops, and the drums is alone with the bass guitar that it makes a strong chord. After a while, come back the riff.

Music Video

The music video was directed by Alfredo Lois. It was recorded in black and white completely. Ambiented in Buenos Aires, Argentina (that appears to be "The city of fury" that is mentioned in the lyrics) and shows several areas of downtown and many buildings and shows the movement of people.

The story revolves around of an ordinary man who walks among the crowd of people who seem to be plagued by the problems it creates life in the city. Metaphorically, is shown locked in a jail can not get out, as representing not get out of their problems. At the end of the video, which appears Cerati is locked up in jail. When the band appears, they playing in the jail.

Notable live performances

The song has been played in most of the concerts of the band. One the most important versions, is the of historic last concert (El Último Concierto) of Soda Stereo on September 20, 1997, in that was the song that opened the presentation and had a strong final guitar solo.[1]

In the presentation at the MTV studios of Miami, on September 25, 1996, recorded on the live album Comfort y Música Para Volar, the band completely changed the original version, with a blues style and much more slow and complex musically. Also had the cooperation of the Colombian singer Andrea Echeverri, who sings in the chorus.[2]

In the extensive Gira Me Verás Volver of 2007 (You'll see me come back tour), that met the band back together after 10 years of separation, was performed in every concert.
